Recognising women in our açaí agroforestry project

At Monchy Trivium Foundation, this day is also an opportunity to recognise the women participating in our açaí agroforestry project in Putumayo, Colombia.

Through their involvement in the project, participants contribute to agroforestry practices that combine açaí palms with native tree species, supporting more sustainable landscapes while strengthening local agricultural activities.

Building knowledge through training and support

Training and knowledge-sharing are an important part of the project. By providing practical guidance and technical support, the project helps participants strengthen their understanding of sustainable agroforestry practices and apply this knowledge in the field.

These activities contribute to building skills and supporting long-term participation in agroforestry initiatives.

Celebrating participation and contribution

This International Day of Rural Women, we celebrate the women participating in our açaí agroforestry project and recognise their contribution to sustainable agriculture, local communities and landscape restoration efforts in Putumayo.

Their participation reflects the important role rural women continue to play in rural development around the world.
