More than a game: our volleyball fundraising event raised €60,240
Since the Monchy Trivium Foundation was founded in 2019, its volleyball tournament has become one of its most important fundraising events.
Taking place every two years, it brings people together for an afternoon of sport, fun and support for our projects.
This year, 20 teams joined us on the court. Our goal was to raise €50,000, but thanks to everyone who played, donated and supported the event, we reached an amazing €60,240.
The money raised will support five Monchy Trivium Foundation projects, turning a fun day of volleyball into something that will make a real impact at origin.
An afternoon of sports and impact
The event started with a warm welcome from Gerko Snel, chairman of the Monchy Trivium Foundation.
Mr Wassenaar, director of M&R Group, expressed the group’s support for the foundation. He also spoke about why investing at origin is so important. Every product has an origin. Behind that origin are people, families and communities facing real challenges.
Stephane Leveque and Zo Randria then shared the story behind our project in Madagascar. They spoke about what has been achieved so far and showed how the foundation’s work is making a difference for the local community.
The final amount of €60,240 was made possible by employees, customers, suppliers and companies across M&R Group.

The excitement continued off the court
This year, we added something new to the programme: a charity lottery. Every ticket purchased supported the foundation’s projects and contributed to the final amount raised.
Participants stepped inside the lottery machine and tried to catch the flying balls. It quickly became one of the most entertaining moments of the day, filled with laughter and great reactions.
