Regenerative Agriculture in Bolivian quinoa farming

The Southern Altiplano of Bolivia, celebrated for its “Royal Quinoa” production, experienced a significant shift after 2008. The once-small, subsistence-based quinoa plots expanded to larger, commercial operations, adopting modern machinery and synthetic pesticides. While it initially boosted the livelihoods of over 40,000 farmers, the change led to concerning soil degradation, reducing yields, and threatening Bolivia’s position in the global quinoa market.

Monchy Trivium Vietnam

Project Started: 2022.

The Trivium Foundation is proud to have played a crucial role in the renovation of a school in Binh Phuoc, Vietnam, which was recently handed over to the teachers and local authority. The success of this project is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the local community, who were instrumental in the renovation the facility. The renovated school building is a perfect example of the positive impact that can be achieved when the community and a charitable organization come together.

Monchy Trivium Bolivia

Project Started: 2019.

Last year we visited one of the Monchy Trivium projects in the heart of the amazon region in Bolivia. In 2019 the construction of a new state of the art school has started as a replacement of the old outdated school. The new facility has been finalized last year and generates a huge social and economic impact in the region, where the Brazil nut industry is the most important source of income.

Vietnam Project

In 2022, the Trivium Foundation started a project in one of the communities included in Rhumveld’s cashew nut supply chain. Together with our local partner Target Agriculture Vietnam, we investigated the possibilities to improve the farmers’ livelihoods and their families located in the hill of Sok Bu Nhui, Doan Key Hamlet, and Duc Phonh district within the Bihn Phuoc province.
